On Sunday, February 28th, CBS Evening News featured Carnegie Mellon Chemical Engineering Professor Kathryn Whitehead, who sat down with CBS’s Chief Medical Correspondent, Dr. Jon LaPook, to discuss the future of mRNA drug delivery.
Whitehead and her lab’s research around mRNA technology has piqued the interest of many. In August, she gave a talk at the annual TED Conference in Monterrey. There, she explained the science behind the innovative drug delivery method and discussed how it’s revolutionizing modern medicine.
In recent months, Whitehead has also appeared on NPR’s TED Radio Hour, was featured in the Pittsburgh Business Times’ Personalities of Pittsburgh series, gave a lecture for MIT’s nano seminar series and presented at the Precision Medicine World Conference in Pittsburgh.
