Intro to Chemical Engineering

Taught by Assistant Teaching Professor Joanne Beckwith Maddock, this course equips first-year students with creative engineering problem-solving techniques and fundamental chemical engineering material balance skills.

Fluid Mechanics

Hamerschlag Hall, room B131

Taught by Professor Aditya Khair, this course discusses the principles of fluid mechanics as applied to engineering. Examples include flow in conduits, process equipment, and commercial pipes, flow around submerged objects, and flow measurement.

Chemical Product Design

Taught by Assistant Teaching Professor Alexandra Newby, this project-based course teaches seniors to use chemical engineering principles in the design of molecular structure, microstructure, or devices/processes that effect chemical change.
